Summary Results from the Eden Workforce Sentiment Survey

To better understand employee sentiment on key elements of going back to work, like vaccine policies and workplace models, we commissioned the first post-return-to-work survey with Wakefield Research.

In July 2021, 1,000 nationally representative employees who recently returned to the office were surveyed.

Key Takeaways

Employees are happier than they thought they’d be
– Two-thirds (66%) of employees expected to like being back at the office but 70% are enjoying it.

But employers could be doing better – Only a third of employees would give their employers an ‘A’ for the way they’ve managed resuming in-person work.

The majority of workers want mandatory vaccination policies – 57% of employees want their workplaces to require vaccines but only 44% of businesses are doing so.

Above all else, employees want the flexibility of hybrid workplace models – At 62%, the majority of employees want a hybrid work environment, compared to the 23% and 15% who want full-time office or full-time remote arrangements, respectively.
